Bike path with four flashers. But this time the fault is not of the Municipality of Simaxis but of an appeal presented by another administration. In the country of rice those three kilometers that cyclists, but also pedestrians, would like to travel safely are the subject of discussion. The project for the bike and pedestrian path, however, is still on paper. And yet the Region drew up the list of beneficiaries almost two years ago. More than a year ago, Mayor Giacomo Obinu had announced that workers would soon be starting work to create a bike/pedestrian path that for the first time will connect the town to the industrial area, exactly in the section between the intersection of Via Gialeto and Via Nenni, up to the intersection of Via Tuveri. All this thanks to the Municipality which in 2023 was the beneficiary of a regional contribution. But now there is a hitch.

"A municipality that did not win the tender appealed to the TAR, which is why the Region has not yet financed the resources - explains Mayor Obinu - All this is absurd. Also because, as we have been told, this administration does not have the opinion of the body that manages the road, which is mandatory in order to participate in the tender".

Obinu explains the matter in detail: «The phase of the liquidation of the financing that comes from the regional department of Public Works - explains the mayor of Simaxis - had already begun. In our case we are talking about almost 273 thousand euros, of which about 27 thousand co-financed by the Municipality. The Municipality of Simaxis is high in the ranking, which means that if this Municipality were to win the appeal, nothing would change for us. In short, we are wasting time. Unfortunately, however, only after we receive the money can we proceed with the publication of the tender to assign the works».
