A “very dangerous” road , closed by a destroyed guardrail and an “absurd detour”. A “shame that has lasted 18 years ” but will end very soon. This is what was reported on social media by the former Cagliari city councilor , Fabrizio Marcello , who “traveling along the SP 25, I discovered a very dangerous road [...]. Here I came across a sign that says it all: “15 years of shame”. But the reality is even worse: it has become 18! Local friends told me about the dangers they face every day to go to Cagliari. An unacceptable situation during the day and imagine at night or during the rain”.

As Marcello points out, the one reported is not «a secondary road but a fundamental artery for the Gerrei road network», given that «the SP 25 branches off into a series of junctions for the Sardinia Telescope in San Basilio, frequented not only by workers but also by external visitors, including school groups, and for the fluorite wells».

As confirmed by the former councilor, after a long wait, "a sigh of relief": the stretch of road will be affected by extraordinary maintenance and safety works. The award dates back to December 10, 2024: "The works will start soon", concludes Marcello.

"This is a journey that began six years ago," explained the deputy mayor of Silius, Michele Porru. "Over time, the administration has spoken with the Province and has committed to monitoring all available funding to resolve the situation." "The task of the designer was entrusted in 2023," added Porru, underlining how the administration has worked constantly to resolve the inconveniences. "Today the work was entrusted and the construction site will start next Monday," concluded the deputy mayor.
