Siliqua, crash on State Road 130: three injured, one woman seriously injured
Two cars were involved, causing traffic to stall in the direction of Iglesias. Ambulances, Carabinieri, firefighters, and Anas technicians were on site.Violent collision between two cars on the State Road 130 : three people were injured, including a woman who was transported by air ambulance with critical condition to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari.
The incident occurred shortly after 7pm, at km 29 of the main road, one kilometre before the Siliqua-Vallermosa junction .
The two vehicles, a Ford Focus and a BMW, were both in the lane heading towards Iglesias when, for reasons yet to be determined, they came into contact, subsequently crashing into the side barriers.
Three ambulances from 118 intervened on site, the Areus air rescue, the Carabinieri from the Villamassargia station, supported by colleagues from the Iglesias mobile radio unit, the firefighters from the Iglesias detachment and the Anas technicians .
Traffic was severely slowed to allow for rescue operations. The other two injured , both in critical condition, were taken to Brotzu Hospital and the Monserrato Polyclinic.
