Silanus, hit near level crossing: 41-year-old dies

Fatal accident this morning in Silanus . The victim is Maria Antonietta Ninu, 41 years old, resident in the town.

The tragedy in the Birdis area, near the train level crossing . For reasons yet to be ascertained, two vehicles, driven by two fellow villagers, collided and one of the two, a van, hit the woman while she was on the sidewalk.

The Carabinieri and 118 emergency workers arrived on site, but could do nothing more than confirm the woman's death.
