Two Algerians aged 18 and 21 were reported in Villanovaforru by the Carabinieri for detention aimed at drug dealing and receiving stolen goods .

They are both asylum seekers , hosted at the Extraordinary Assistance Center of the town, "I Lecci". The military, during the daily checks inside the structure, became suspicious of the furtive behavior of the two. With the subsequent searches , 10 grams of marijuana , 2 grams of hashish in cellophane wrappers, a precision scale and a multipurpose tool equipped with various blades with traces of drugs were found in their room.

A digital camera worth around 300 euros was also found in the room. The two were unable to justify their origin in relation to their condition as unemployed, having recently arrived in Sardinia with a small boat.
