A person from Sassari was denounced by the local police for having fired fireworks into the crowd during the descent of the Little Candlesticks .

The facts yesterday afternoon in Piazza Santa Maria, where the agents immediately stopped and identified the person responsible and then proceeded with the complaint based on article 703 of the criminal code, which also provides for the arrest for those who turn on fireworks or launch rockets , or makes dangerous ignitions or explosions, in a crowded place.

In the territory of the Municipality of Sassari , already from 2020, it is forbidden by regulation to explode firecrackers , barrels, fireworks and pyrotechnic articles in general. The decision was made by the municipal administration to protect both animals, which often run away frightened by loud noises, and people with diseases and disabilities who can suffer serious trauma from the barrels.
