At the end of 2025, the Guardia di Finanza (Fiamme Gialle) stopped her in Porto Torres as she was disembarking from a ship from Barcelona. The financial police noticed the 47-year-old Spanish woman's suspicious behavior and examined her car, where they discovered 4 kg of drugs wrapped in several packages in a false bottom. The drug test determined the substance to be cocaine, containing over 2 kg of active ingredient.

Today in court in Sassari, the woman, currently in prison, attended the summary trial in which she was charged with drug possession and trafficking.

Prosecutor Elisa Succu requested a six-year prison sentence, disputing the large amount of money involved, but defense attorney Marcello Caddori of the Lanusei bar office objected that the request had been made only during the hearing and therefore belatedly. Preliminary hearing judge Giuseppe Grotteria, while upholding the attorney's objection, deemed the six-year sentence requested by the prosecutor appropriate. Caddori has announced he will appeal because he believes the sentence is unfair.
