An August 15th evening turns into a nightmare. A 16-year-old girl living in the Cagliari hinterland was the victim of a sexual assault while traveling on a CTM bus . A North African man, identified by the minor as the perpetrator, is in trouble.

The incident occurred late on the evening of August 15th, shortly after 11 p.m. According to the reconstruction and detailed in a report filed at the San Bartolomeo Carabinieri station, the sixteen-year-old was on a Pf bus with a friend when two North African boys began verbally harassing them. The girls became frightened and attempted to leave. However, one of the boys approached and attempted to physically contact the sixteen-year-old. According to the complaint, the situation escalated at Viale Bonaria, when the driver made the passengers get off due to a breakdown. Taking advantage of the confusing phases of the disembarkation, the attacker restrained the young girl and violently groped her .

The girl defended herself and then called her sister, who advised her to board a replacement bus, where she also encountered her attacker. However, near the Amsicora Stadium , the girl's sister, who had arrived on the scene, managed to stop the bus to apprehend the attacker and call the police. The two North Africans attempted to flee, but were stopped on Via Rockefeller and taken to the police station, where the main perpetrator was identified with certainty by the victim. He is charged with aggravated sexual assault .
