In Sardinia, the damage caused by Cyclone Harry has begun to be counted, having brought strong winds, heavy rains, and numerous disruptions to the island in recent days. The phenomenon, predicted by weather forecasts, produced the highest cumulative rainfall in Ogliastra, with rainfall in three days five times higher than the January average .

According to ARPAS data, the heaviest rainfall was concentrated in eastern Sardinia , with widespread amounts exceeding 100 mm and local peaks exceeding 400 mm. The absolute maximums were recorded in Ogliastra: 548.4 mm in Genna Tuvara (Gairo) and 489.2 mm in Villagrande Bau Mandara (Villagrande Strisaili).

In many eastern regions, rainfall exceeded January's monthly average by three times, reaching over five times the normal amount in Ogliastra. This was an exceptional event in terms of intensity, persistence, and duration, which has affected infrastructure and homes. According to the latest reports, the heavy rains are significantly easing , although high levels of vigilance remain in the most affected areas, where rescue teams are still working.
