A busy evening on the fire front last Tuesday in the Cagliari hinterland.

In the countryside of Settimo San Pietro several volunteers intervened to put out the flames of a vast fire which spread from the vegetation to vehicles, sheds and a house.

Among the teams in the field, also the Nos of Quartu Sant'Elena which, after helping to put out the fire, went further. Noticing a little dog who was badly burned on the back, the volunteers promptly intervened, providing first aid with medication.

For the mestizo, snatched from the fury of the flames, improvements are already underway and he now appears to be on his way to recovery. The Nos gesture has not gone unnoticed on social media, where it has earned dozens of comments of applause.
