Seven new wedding venues in Cagliari: two within Monte Urpinu Park, two in Parco della Musica, and three in Terramaini . These additions include the Castle of San Michele, the Terrazza del Bastione, the Lazzaretto, the Public Gardens, and five spots on Poetto beach. The new list was approved by the City Council, upon a proposal from Deputy Mayor Maria Cristina Mancini. A few locations along the beach, the former Distillery, the Marina Piccola amphitheater, and the area under the ficus tree in the Public Gardens have been excluded. An expression of interest is planned soon for all private venues wishing to host weddings in their spaces.
Over €13 million for the implementation of the "Integrated Strategy for an Inclusive and Innovative City" ITI and just under €4 million for the completion of the Is Mirrionis ITI: as part of the 2021-2027 ERDF Regional Program (Priority 6 - Specific Objective 5.1), the City Council approved, upon a proposal from Mayor Massimo Zedda, the draft agreement to be signed with the Regional Programming Center for the implementation of the two projects. Specifically, the first will involve—among other activities—the creation of Smart City services, support for startups and technology transfer, digitalization and dematerialization services, and the strengthening of digital skills and inclusiveness. The second, which concerns one of the city's most populous neighborhoods, will involve the redevelopment of courtyards and open spaces and the functional recovery of the former school on Via Abruzzi and the neighborhood Health Center.
The government also allocated €100,000 from regional resources for extraordinary maintenance of the annex to the parish of Santa Lucia, in the San Benedetto neighborhood . It also approved the placement of exercise equipment in public spaces in Piazza Fratelli Pisu, in Pirri, in the Is Bingias neighborhood, between Via del Tricolore and Via Fosse Ardeatine. With the upcoming opening of new cultural spaces—for example, the Santa Caterina Hypogeum—new rates, discounts (valid for young people up to 26, over-65s, groups of 15 or more, tour guides with a regional license, and other legal discounts), and free admission to monuments and theaters, and for the use of art centers and the library system, will take effect starting in January 2027.
