A special birthday in Seuni for grandmother Pierina Pitzalis, who celebrated her 110th birthday. For the occasion, Mayor Alessio Piras visited the elderly woman, bringing her best wishes and embraces from the entire community of Selegas and the hamlet of Seuni. Born on March 6, 1916 in Nurri, Pierina Pitzalis has lived for many decades in the small village of Trexenta, to which she is deeply attached . At 110, she is now the oldest person in Trexenta and the second oldest woman in all of Sardinia , an achievement that makes her a point of reference and a symbol for the area.

"With great emotion, we brought our best wishes to Aunt Pierina on her magnificent 110th birthday. A symbol of strength and wisdom for all of us, a legacy for our community, " says Valeria Pardu, Councilor for Equal Opportunities for the Municipality of Selegas, a resident of the small hamlet in the Trexenta area.

Surrounded by the love of her family, her long life spans over a century. As a young woman, she worked as a nanny in various villages between Sarcidano and Barbagia di Seulo, before marrying Eugenio Lampis in 1935 in the church of Santa Vittoria in Seuni. Over the course of her life , she raised seven children and a large family that now includes numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren . A tireless housewife and passionate about cooking and crocheting, she has always led a simple life, filled with hard work and genuine local produce. "A journey spanning over a century that today the entire community celebrates with affection," commented the mayor.
