Numerous participants, a risk-free adventure, and an important step toward feeling alive, empowered, and daily overcoming the limitations still often associated with disability. The "Accessible Adventure" project concluded successfully after three months at the Vertical Park in Sestu, on Via Di Vittorio. The project, organized by the Tutto Esaurito social cooperative, was funded by the Sardinia Region and the Municipality of Sestu, giving people with various disabilities the opportunity to try their hand at the elevated path for free.

"We had a great turnout," says Tutto Esaurito president Lele Farci. "Several Sardinian associations participated in the project, and over 80 boys and girls with various disabilities participated. We definitely aim to repeat it. I want to thank the Municipality, the Sports Department, and the mayor for their dedication, availability, and support."

A unique experience in Sardinia, as is the Vertical Park adventure park in Sestu: an almost Indiana Jones-esque course made up of elevated platforms that anyone can follow, secured by harnesses and supported by instructors. Both blind and cognitively impaired people have attempted it.

"The joint work between the Sestu Municipal Sports Office and the Regional Department has enabled us to achieve everything," continues Councilor for Sport and Social Policies Mario Alberto Serrau . "Everything is tailor-made for young people with disabilities. For the future, we're thinking even bigger, trying to involve even more people, just like our youth center, which has about 200 members." Mayor Paola Secci states: "Aggregation and inclusion are always at the heart of our priorities."

An unforgettable experience, as evidenced by the smiles and cheers of the kids: "Our athletes feel welcomed, not like 'special guests.' The instructors are well-trained, available, and ready to adapt the activities to each individual's needs, without making them feel burdened," explains Romina Mascia of the Olimpia Sports Club. "The adrenaline rush and fun were shared with other participants, without barriers, and the feeling of being part of something normal. And that's true success."
