He died crushed by a heavy gate. This is the tragic end of a 27-year-old, – Nicolò Meloni, security guard – busy working in a company on the ex 131 in the territory of Sestu . The alarm given by the colleague was useless: when the firefighters and 118 rescuers arrived for the young man there was nothing more that could be done.
The Carabinieri and Spresal staff are investigating what appears to be a tragic accident at work, the dynamics of which are being reconstructed.
The call for help came shortly after 1:00 a.m. The security guard was busy with a check at a company – Tecnosolution – probably during the opening phases of the heavy gate over ten meters long, he was hit by the same one that came off the tracks.
The structure – very heavy – crushed him and the boy was already dead when help arrived. Enormous mourning for the loss of the security guard.
Investigations are now underway to reconstruct all the phases of what appears to be a new absurd tragedy at work.
