A new life for the “Efisio Marcis” park, the first park in Sestu in via Fiume, in the center. In recent days the tender has closed, with a company that has been awarded the works. Today, the grass is high, there are broken street lamps, unusable bathrooms due to the dirt. In the future it will have a new face.

"The contract will be signed next week so that the works can be delivered to the winning company by December," explains Councilor for Public Green Roberta Argiolas. "It was our intention to restore its decorum and liveability for a long time, but an agreement in place with a private individual prevented us from intervening with a large extraordinary maintenance," explains Mayor Paola Secci. The estimated cost is 630 thousand euros.

Councilwoman Argiolas continues: «There will be new paths and a new arrangement of the functional areas in compliance with the existing vegetation». New paving, lighting, new bathrooms. «Now it will finally become a place of leisure and culture immersed in greenery, illuminated and equipped to be suitable for children, families and the elderly», concludes the mayor.
