A 43-year-old man from the province of Caserta and resident in Sestu was arrested today by the local Carabinieri station on charges of stalking his ex-partner.

The measure was ordered by the investigating judge of the Cagliari Court following an investigation launched after the complaint filed by the woman last July.

According to what has emerged, the victim had been subjected to threats, stalking and intrusions into her daily life for months , to the point of changing her habits for fear of attacks.

The alleged conduct also continued near the woman's home, where the man allegedly showed up under the pretext of meeting his minor daughter, in violation of the custody provisions.

Following the complaint, the Carabinieri activated the "Red Code" protocol for the protection of victims of domestic violence . Based on the findings, a precautionary measure of house arrest was issued, which was carried out by the military at dawn today.

The man, already known to law enforcement and currently unemployed, will remain at the disposal of the judiciary.
