The Carabinieri of Serramanna have reported a 28-year-old worker at large for illegal possession of explosives and fireworks.

The operation began yesterday evening as part of a series of targeted checks to combat the possession and use of illegal fireworks, intensified in view of the end-of-year holidays.

The military, based on information gathered during patrols of the area , carried out a search inside the young man's home.

During the inspection, eleven homemade fireworks were found, including so-called "onion" pyrotechnic devices and small canisters, which lacked the conformity and safety marking required by European Union regulations.

The seized material had a total weight of more than one kilo and was accompanied by almost half a kilo of gunpowder.

Given the dangerous nature of the artifacts, characterized by a charge density exceeding standard parameters, the intervention of the Anti-Sabotage Bomb Squad of the Cagliari Provincial Carabinieri Command was requested.

Specialists proceeded to secure and remove the material, avoiding potential risks to public safety.

The Judicial and Administrative Authorities have been informed of the incident, and they will evaluate any further measures.
