A serious accident occurred in Lu Bagnu, a hamlet of Castelsardo, involving a 14-year-old boy who was admitted to the intensive care unit of Sassari's civil hospital. The two-car collision occurred late yesterday afternoon, August 25th, when a Dacia Legacy driven by a man from Castelsardo crashed into a Cupra with three people on board.

The driver was a 66-year-old man from Terni, but a longtime resident of Valledoria, and two passengers, a father and son from Rome, were both injured. The most seriously injured was the 14-year-old boy, who, after receiving first aid from 118 emergency medical workers, was handed over to the Areus air ambulance team for transport to Santissima Annunziata .

His condition worsened during the evening, so much so that doctors decided to perform surgery before admitting him to the intensive care unit . The Valledoria firefighters were on site to secure the road, the Carabinieri from Sedilo were on site to carry out surveys, and the local police were on site to manage the traffic that had been blocked for over an hour.
