Sergio Mura, 58 years old, from Sassari, is the new secretary of the Sassari CISL. Married, father of two daughters, degree in Political Science, Mura was provincial secretary of Sassari of the First Cisl - the CISL federation of the credit sector - until 2013. Since then he has been regional secretary of the same federation, led in years of great changes and sector and economic crises. Joining him in the secretariat will be Maria Giovanna Mela and Alessandro Marcellino.
Mura was elected during the general council called to replace Pier Luigi Ledda, who became general secretary of the CISL a few weeks ago and was present at the proceedings together with the national leader of the union, Luigi Sbarra. For the new secretary Mura «energy and industry; social-welfare-healthcare and essential services; mobility, transport and networks; Internal areas, strategic works and territorial security are the four pillars around which the CISL's operational proposal was structured in the table that brought together all the forces of the territory. And these are the points on which we will necessarily have to continue to work tirelessly and require the commitment of the institutions, so that we can achieve results." «I hope - added the CISL confederal general secretary Luigi Sbarra - that in the aftermath of the European elections there will be an end to this useless and harmful climate of wall to wall. Let's go back to speaking the language of concreteness and the issues that the country will be called to face in the coming months. Italy must give shape to an Agenda that is active on the issue of health and safety in the workplace, on active policies, training and skills, for a new incomes policy that defends savings, wages and pensions, on the renewal of contracts public and private".
For the outgoing Pier Luigi Ledda: «Recovery Fund, PNRR and programming on the 2021/27 structural funds constitute, in this perspective, a unique and unrepeatable opportunity for the north, and more generally for the whole of Sardinia - he underlined - . We can design a new development model, with an original offer, strongly anchored to the cultural roots and unique identity of the local context, to the ability to keep pace with innovation and modernity because it is able to focus on the qualification of human resources and new technologies and to invest in digital, in the redevelopment of industrial centers, in renewable energy".
