This morning, Carabinieri from the Senorbì station, together with personnel from the Cagliari Anti-Adulteration and Health Unit, carried out checks in a local establishment following several cases of suspected mushroom poisoning.

The report was made after three women were admitted to the San Marcellino Hospital in Muravera on the evening of Saturday, December 22nd, for a food-related illness, which fortunately healed with a prognosis of just a few days. However, the women reported having consumed mushrooms at this very establishment the previous evening .

The military found administrative irregularities, believed to be attributable to failure to comply with hygiene and food safety regulations. In particular, critical issues emerged regarding the proper management and traceability of the food used, violations for which the applicable administrative sanctions were imposed.
