Sennori, the first municipality in Sardinia to join the National Association of Wine Cities in 1987, enters the “Wine App” circuit, a territorial marketing project for the promotion of the sustainable integrated wine tourism network.
For years, the municipal administration has worked in synergy with the production sector to be a "Hospitable and Experiential Country" ready to welcome tourists looking for relaxing environments, rich in traditions, history, culture and food and wine experiences. Joining Wine App is a further step towards an ever greater valorization of the territory and its food and wine specificities, such as Moscato DOC Sorso Sennori, the true gold of Romangia.
The project, developed by Nadia De Santis, revolves around an internet portal, wineapp.it, and the related application for smartphones and tablets, downloadable and usable for free. Thanks to the services offered by Wine App, food and wine lovers can take a virtual journey to discover Sennori, its excellent productions such as, indeed, Moscato Doc Sorso Sennori, find information on wineries and lots of useful information for getting to know and visiting the area through the “Degusta Sennori” section.
«As highlighted by recent sector studies by the National Observatory of Wine Tourism, curated by Nomisma Wine Monitor on behalf of the National Association of Wine Cities, the value of wine tourism in Italy is growing rapidly and being an active part of the circuit automatically means being a potential tourist destination», explains the city councilor with responsibility for production activities, tourism and culture, Elena Cornalis.
"Joining the Wine App project also means keeping up with the times and meeting the new needs of tourism and generational movements, increasingly oriented towards sustainable and digitally connected experiences. And Wine App represents precisely the combination of wine tourism, innovation and sustainability. It is also a useful tool for promoting production activities and economic operators in the area. In this regard, we will organize specific meetings to illustrate the opportunities offered by Wine App in this sense."
