Two elderly sisters who were hit by a car this morning as they were crossing via Trieste, in Selargius, a short distance from the post office, are in serious condition, one in danger of life.
According to initial information, which has yet to be confirmed by local police findings, the two, Elvira and Anna Cara, were on the crosswalk when they were hit by a vehicle driven by a woman. After the impact, the driver immediately stopped to give first aid.
Two ambulances arrived at the scene. The Mike 53 transferred the wound to Brotzu in more critical conditions: Anna Cara suffered facial and head trauma, she was unconscious when the doctors arrived. The sister was taken over by a Sinnai Soccorso vehicle, for transfer to the Polyclinic. Both have been assigned the red code.
