The two-day opening of the Christmas festival organized by the Municipality was a positive one. Sunday and Monday evenings—December 7th and 8th—were a constant stream of children with their parents in tow, young and old, intrigued by the entertainment but also by the food and wine trail organized between the two Campidano houses in the historic center, Casa Cara and Casa Putzu. There was more: Santa Clauses on Vespas, artisans and local producers on display, complete with live workshops on making pasta, desserts, and bread, and Selargino caper cocktails. "Organizing Christmas in historic homes was a challenge we strongly believed in, and seeing Casa Cara and Casa Putzu filled—both on Sunday and Monday—with people, smiles, children, families, seniors, and even people from the surrounding area was certainly the greatest reward we as an administration could receive," commented Mayor Gigi Concu, with Deputy Mayor Gabriella Mameli.
At the forefront were the Councilors for Culture and Productive Activities, Sara Pilia and Rita Ragatzu, respectively. "Thank you to those who over these two days have given us the image of a vibrant, bright, attentive, and cheerful city. Thank you to the mayor of Collinas for participating in the event and allowing us to admire the living nativity scene, and thank you to everyone present, the cultural associations, and our business owners. Thank you to everyone who, in various capacities, played such valuable and indispensable roles, and thank you to our offices, who in such a short time managed to ensure everything ran smoothly."
On Sunday, December 14th, the celebrations will focus on Si 'e Boi Park, where the Christmas village will be set up: from 4 pm to 8 pm, Santa Claus will meet the children, along with the inflatable slide, the magic of the Christmas snowfall, music, face painting, and entertainment.
