The entire community of Sedilo is in shock over the death of a two-day-old baby girl. The little girl, Amelia Melosu , died this morning at the Cagliari hospital, likely from a genetic disease that left her with no chance of survival.

The baby was born on Saturday at San Martino Hospital in Oristano, and initially everything seemed fine. On Sunday, the first signs of a problem began, which quickly became very serious. From Oristano, the baby was transferred to Cagliari. The baby was supposed to be transferred to Rome, but there was no time: this morning, she passed away.

Deeply moved throughout the community, all civil celebrations in honor of Sant'Isidoro have also been canceled.
