The suspect and defense attorney Alessandra Delrio were also present in the preliminary investigations judge's courtroom. "There are discrepancies in the witness's statements compared to the summary information initially gathered , which must be evaluated," Sircana's lawyer emphasized, "and regarding the use of corrosive substances thrown on the victim's body, the witness did not confirm." According to Delrio, these contradictions were highlighted by the prosecutor himself, who raised some objections to the initial statements.
