It is not known who, how, when and where took them. But sea urchin pulp is sold through Facebook and the phenomenon alarms environmentalists.

The environmental association Gruppo d'Intervento Giuridico, having received a report from a rather concerned citizen, proceeded to request that appropriate investigations be carried out by the Forestry and Environmental Surveillance Corps.

«No certainty on the legality of fishing, no information on traceability, no availability of hygienic-sanitary documentation», denounces Grig, who already in February and April 2023 had promoted similar reports «in relation to a trade in goods doubtful legality unfortunately persists".

«Trusting in the effectiveness of the controls of the Forestry Corps and environmental surveillance», we read in a note, accompanied by photographs that leave little doubt, «we recommend everyone to carefully monitor these rather suspicious forms of sale of urchin pulp sea, a further consequence of the scandalous provision approved by the Sardinian Regional Council in December 2023 which reopened fishing despite the very serious risk of extinction faced by the sea urchin in Sardinia".
