Sassari, young woman injured and with a rag in her mouth: one arrest

A twenty-three-year-old woman was found with several injuries last night on Via Leoncavallo, in the Santa Maria di Pisa neighborhood of Sassari.

The young woman was rescued by a boy who found her with a rag in her mouth not far from the garage where, months ago, a man had been found with a wound to his arm.

The Carabinieri are conducting an investigation that led to the arrest of a man with whom the woman is said to have recently spent a few days.

The incident apparently occurred in a context of extreme degradation, and the Public Prosecutor's Office is maintaining the utmost confidentiality regarding the matter.
