Protest today in Sassari in front of the Pittarello shop in the Tanit shopping center.
It was organized by CGIL Filcams to support the workers who refused to take an inventory at 4 this morning.
«It is the first time in Italy that a similar request has been made - comments Maria Teresa Sassu, general secretary of Cgil Filcams Sassari - In Cagliari it was scheduled at 7pm. Here however, as in Olbia, before dawn».
According to Pittarello, it was the server synchronization that caused the anomalous time and, in a communication, he writes: «The company takes note and will try to avoid similar times for carrying out these operations in the future». And, given the step backwards of the approximately eight full- and part-time workers, he acted by bringing in other employees, some from outside Sassari.
«To carry out the inventory - continues Sassu - three specific times were set with an expiring contract, the director and the area manager arrived from Cagliari with three/four other employees of the sales point in the capital". And this morning there was some friction between a person in the shop and the protesters with the former closing the shutter.
Meanwhile, the CGIL has already consulted the lawyers: "We have denounced article 28 because this is anti-union behavior which also leads to criminal proceedings and we will stand by the workers involved if they suffer disciplinary charges."
«“The agreement would have been possible - adds Massimiliano Muretti, general secretary of CGIL Sassari - Pittarello chose the path of autonomous decision. We remind you that workers cannot be asked to make an effort in terms of availability without first agreeing on it."
Meanwhile, repercussions are feared. «I would like to point out - concludes Maria Teresa Sassu - that even late yesterday evening messages were delivered to the workers saying that it was important to be there otherwise the company would take serious and important measures».
