Sassari, woman hit on pedestrian crossing: red code

Yet another pedestrian hit in Sassari. This morning, around 9, a 46-year-old woman was hit by a car on via Rockfeller: while she was crossing on the pedestrian crossing, in front of the INPS, a car stopped while the next one - a Smart, with the driver perhaps blinded by the sun - did not and hit her.

The forty-six-year-old was thrown two meters onto the road and suffered a head injury . However, she appeared alert and conscious to rescuers: despite her face being covered in blood, she managed to make contact.

She is currently in the emergency room of the Santissima Annunziata hospital, admitted with a red code. 118 and local police are on site.
