Part of the Parco della Croce in Sassari has been closed since last night. The reason is written on some signs posted by the local police: "Danger of wild boars."
"I alerted the officers that the animals were near the children. The little ones were having a little party in the playground and, at a certain point, wandered into the greenery to look for them," a resident reported. Five or six animals have been scampering around the greenery for almost two months, as soon as darkness begins to fall.
Presences that move from Via Barzini to Via Luna e Sole, often overturning the bins and scattering the garbage.
"Three weeks ago," says Franco, a local resident, " one of the wild boars attacked me and I had to run away."
Closing the green area while the grass is cleared is a temporary solution, and we will need to be vigilant about ungulates and their potential attacks in an area where, due to the presence of so many schools, there are many minors.
