The emergency medical transport of a child in imminent danger of death and requiring transfer from Alghero to the Maria Vittoria Hospital in the Piedmontese city has concluded with the landing in Turin.

The lifesaving flight was activated at the request of the Prefecture of Sassari to the Situation Room of the Air Force's Milan Air Squadron Command, which immediately contacted the 31st Wing at Ciampino , one of the units that provides operational readiness for this type of mission. After completing all necessary procedures, the Gulfstream G650, along with the baby's mother and a medical team, boarded the newborn from the Neonatology Unit of the Sassari University Hospital, and took off from Alghero Airport.

After landing at Turin airport, an ambulance took the child to the Turin hospital for admission.
