Six young Nigerians are the recipients of the urban Daspo issued by the commissioner of Sassari. They are held responsible for the riots that took place on the night between 18 and 19 September last in the historic center resulting from a fight near a club run by one of their compatriots.

The provision is valid for one year and establishes a ban on entry or parking in the immediate vicinity of public establishments for the administration of alcoholic beverages of any kind, including take-away, as well as places of public entertainment in general. The affected area is the entire historic center of Sassari, including the main walking and meeting places present in a large part of the urban area. In case of violation, a further tightening of the prohibitions is foreseen.

The six Nigerians were identified by the Flying Squad thanks also to the images of the fight but later it was also ascertained that the club in question lacked the minimum requirements of surveillance and with serious structural and sanitary deficiencies; moreover, at the time of the check, a gathering in progress was detected, for which high penalties were imposed on the manager and other visitors to the venue, which was then closed for thirty days and then for another three months.
