The territorial secretariats of Fp Cgil and Uil Fpl in Sassari are requesting an urgent meeting with the Region . The problems in the healthcare system are well-known, but according to the unions, they are worsening, especially in what appears to be the worst of all problems: the overload of the Hub and the 2nd level Emergency and Admission Department in Sassari and the problems of the 1st level Emergency Department (DEA) of ASL 1. These, in turn, are generating the near-implosion of the emergency room, stretchers in the corridors, support admissions to non-pertinent departments, and a permanent emergency situation .

The complaint, in a joint statement from the trade organizations, also notes that some departments—Cardiology, UTIC, and Hematology—are lacking the necessary healthcare workers and nurses. According to union estimates, Radiology is short 70 technicians, when the actual requirement is 120.

Beyond the specific department, CGIL and UIL emphasize how the difficulties in the healthcare sector, partly caused by the lack of local control of intermediate structures, are being passed on to employees, who are subjected to "intolerable workloads." They propose: better staff allocation; "serious competition notices," as they call them, without calls from internal agencies for two-month contracts.

The request is then addressed to the Region and the University so that, through shared planning, they can increase the number of graduates to "develop," they say, "training programs and announce competitions, which cannot yet be restricted by Ares, for urgent hiring."

Furthermore, the failure to certify the 2024 funds at AOU is contested and a face-to-face meeting is requested with the President of the Region, Alessandra Todde, and the various AOU and ASL management teams, together with the university rector.
