A never-ending story. For nearly two years, productivity bonuses have been lacking for the workers at the AOU of Sassari—3,000 people, including doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, technicians, administrative staff, and all other personnel.

Uil Fpl denounces the situation, recalling that, when the new regional council took office in 2024, new auditors for the Hospital-Healthcare Company were appointed. "Since then," states Mariangela Campus, Uil Fpl's regional health manager, "they've been working on it, but to date, the 2024 budget for the Hospital-Healthcare Company has not yet been approved by the new auditors, resulting in a freeze on payments related to Productivity and Economic Differentials for the Department's staff and Medical Management." " The prolonged uncertainty ," continues Campus, "and the lack of concrete responses from the Hospital-Healthcare Company are generating a climate of strong unease among workers , leading to widespread demotivation, distrust of the institution, and a loss of a sense of belonging."

Health Councilor Armando Bartolazzi's assurances that the problem was being resolved have gone unheeded . Indeed, employees continue to be left without their expected bonuses. "Most of them," he concludes, "relocated" to the AOU from Sassari's Local Health Authority (ASL) 1, are bitterly watching as their ASL colleagues have already received a substantial amount of what they were owed. The money is there, but due to unclear issues or internal disputes, it is not being disbursed, penalizing all the workers who suffer the consequences firsthand . One wonders why in two years no solution has been found to this unfortunate situation."
