"We don't trust them to come in." This morning in Sassari, about ten parents decided to leave their children outside the school on Via Cottoni, where, during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, two ceiling tiles fell, one in a primary school classroom and the other in a bathroom.

After the school closed yesterday, the principal sent a note announcing that classes would continue as normal today, Thursday, October 22nd. However, some parents, feeling disheartened, decided otherwise and wrote a letter to the mayor listing the critical issues, from the leaking gym to the general sense of neglect in the building.

Public Works Councilor Salvatore Sanna met with parents to explain the situation and confirm, as reported yesterday, that "the school is safe." He also announced that the department and the company, following various inspections, will begin some maintenance work starting Monday. Relatives reported several inconveniences to the council member, starting with the inability to access certain areas, such as the gym, a popular outlet for physical activity. The fire department also intervened during the morning.
