The two pit bulls that killed a dog named Ciop in a country house near Ponte Brandinu a few weeks ago have been taken to the municipal dog shelter in Sassari . Officers from the local police's environmental unit, assisted by veterinarians from the local health authority, transported the animals.
The measure was taken following the completion of the investigation and after gathering testimonies and reviewing videos. The police arrived at the home of the dog's owner, who had received numerous reports and complaints about their aggressive behavior.
The man handed them over and proved cooperative. The animals will undergo rehabilitation programs under the care of qualified professionals, according to the Municipality.
