The hearing has been scheduled in the Sassari court in the defamation trial involving Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

According to the charges, a 40-year-old man from Sassari, Alessio Scurosu, allegedly posted a sex tape on the adult website xhamster in 2020 in which the prime minister's face was plastered on the body of a porn actress. Meloni has sought €150,000 in damages for this fake video.

At today's hearing, two postal police officers who seized Scurosu and his father's cell phones were questioned. The father subsequently chose probation without going to trial. Both officers noted the father's astonishment at the behavior of the two officers.

Judge Monia Adami has scheduled the hearing for November 18. The prosecutor is Maria Paola Asara, the civil party's lawyer is Maria Giulia Marongiu, and the defense is represented by Maurizio Serra.
