First the fight in a bar and then the arrest. Yesterday in Sassari the police intervened in a place on Corso Trinità after a report of an altercation. And they found themselves facing a 50-year-old with a shard of bottle in his hand who complained of having been beaten.

The man, according to the charges, tried to prevent the officers from searching his car, thus substantiating the charge of resisting a public official. The police then took the 50-year-old to the police station and there too the suspect used over the top tones, addressing the police with the phrase: "You don't know who I am."

Today in court a direct hearing was held before judge Silvia Masala who ordered the man, defended by lawyer Andrea Piroddi, to sign.
