Sassari, tightening of road controls for the Easter holidays

Tightening of controls on the streets of Sassari on the occasion of the Easter holidays .

From today and until Easter Monday, the local police will strengthen the security facilities in the area : the goal is to help make the road system safe on days when there are commonly critical issues and potential dangers due to the high traffic density related to "trips out of town".

The transparency operation will continue until May 31st.

The telelaser will be operational along the SS 200 (Sassari-Sorso), the SP 18 Bancali, the SP 42 Campanedda, in via de Martini, via Domenico Millelire, via Prati, via Budapest, via Predda Niedda, via Buddi Buddi, viale Porto Torres , via Ottava (ex 131).

From 1 January to 31 March there were 322 road accidents recorded in the municipal area, of which 104 with injuries, 1 fatal accident, 217 with only damage to the vehicles involved; a figure which, if analyzed with a projection over twelve months, highlights a further upsurge in accidents along the roads of the municipal area.

With the telelaser - specifies the local police - only immediate disputes are made, stopping the driver of the vehicle when the illegal conduct is ascertained. This ensures the transparency of the activity and creates the offender's immediate awareness of having committed a mistake that requires a penalty, as well as having caused a potential danger for himself and for those who travel the same roads. At the same time it allows the driver to raise objections which can be noted in the report.
