Thousands of seizures by the Guardia di Finanza in Sassari in recent days.

Two minimarkets in the historic center, inspected by the Green Berets, discovered counterfeit products. 450 stuffed animals were discovered, bearing a well-known brand, presumed to be fake, and particularly appealing to minors.

In the industrial zone, however, the financial police seized over 6,000 playing cards and various toys, of counterfeit brands, along with 50 electronic devices such as smartwatches (from a well-known US brand), all with the same IMEI code and the same serial number.

The Guardia di Finanza's work continued, identifying the suspected crime of evading assessment or payment of the excise duty on energy products (Consolidated Excise Act). 2,800 e-cigarettes were found ready for sale, containing a total amount of nicotine equivalent to approximately 67 kg of tobacco according to the equivalence system established by current legislation, in addition to 79,000 smoking accessories (filters and papers) held and offered for sale without proper authorization issued by the Customs and Monopolies Agency.

The legal representatives and administrators of the two stores involved in the checks have been reported to the Sassari judicial authorities for alleged counterfeiting and receiving stolen goods.
