Mocked and reported. An unfortunate and clumsy thief was caught in the night by a security guard inside the offices of the Botanical Garden of the University of Sassari, in Piandanna.

The man, who had entered by forcing a security door closed with a chain, was standing in front of the vending machines for snacks and drinks, with a large screwdriver in his hand. Astonished, he explained to the security guard that he had entered to steal money from the machines, but that he had found them already broken into.

And in fact, a few hours earlier another thief had preceded him, and had been stopped and arrested red-handed by the police.

Instead, it was the officers of the Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters who arrived on the scene and identified and reported the second thief for aggravated theft, damage and possession of burglary tools.
