They free an apartment by dumping all the furnishings in the street, in via Maddalena in Sassari . Not happy, when the street was now full, they continued towards Largo Macao, abandoning another massive mass of waste. For a total of seven quintals .

To clean up the area, three trucks took the waste to the municipal eco-centre for separation and disposal. The site was then reclaimed.

For these facts , three foreigners and a man from Sassari were reported for uncontrolled abandonment of waste and risk even criminal consequences. They were immediately identified by the local police: the citizens, fed up with the incivility and degradation, in fact bombarded the operations center with reports . In a few minutes, thanks to the collaboration of the residents, the four uncivilized people were reached by a patrol from the environmental police unit.

They said they had obtained the availability of an apartment which had been sold by the owner and that they were intent on freeing it to move in.

This is the first complaint contested by the command of via Carlo Felice since the consolidated text of the environmental laws was modified, which establishes that the abandonment of waste of any kind by the private citizen constitutes a criminal offence . Investigations are underway into the ownership of the property, which is currently empty although the owner is still resident.

«With this reform the legislator, in significantly tightening the sanctioning system, has offered the police forces incisive tools to combat deplorable conduct carried out by natural persons, which causes degradation and dismay in the community» explains Commander Gianni Greenhouse .
