An unfortunate episode in Sassari, in via Mercato, in the historic centre. A former merchant from Sassari, now unemployed, Giuseppe Tedde, 63, while walking calmly in the street, was hit in the right eye by an egg thrown with great violence by some boys traveling (according to some witnesses) in a white Renault, last model.

After the checks carried out throughout the day yesterday at the Sassari hospital, the man was found to have a retinal lesion.

Tedde had recently had surgery on his right eye. The man filed a complaint with the Sassari police. Who is investigating the case. Also under consideration is a video from a surveillance camera of a house that would confirm the testimonies.

«My father was stunned by the blow he received – explains his daughter Valentina today -. But he was able to at least locate the last three digits of the license plate. An episode that leaves you amazed. Now he is being treated, after he was also subjected to lasers. Luckily the egg thrown by these criminals did not hit the eye that had just been operated on».

However, that of via Mercato would not be an isolated fact. In fact, other testimonies emerge of a similar event that occurred yesterday in another area of the capital. But based on the development of the facts, and apparently on the developments of the investigations, the hooligans who committed these acts could have their hours counted and therefore be identified.
