Sassari, the VII Musicanova festival closes with the contemporary music ensemble

The protagonists are the students of the Sassari Conservatory, both as musicians and as composers. On Friday 20 October the Sassu Hall of the “Canepa” hosts the last appointment of the VII exhibition “Musicanova – Ideas, experiences and languages of our time”. The concert starts at 7pm and entry is free.
The contemporary music ensemble of the Sassari conservatory will perform the Concerto op. 24 by Anton Webern, Calligrammes by Marco Lizzeri, Composition student at “Canepa”, and the RACH-Variations Project: a series of 17 variations on the theme of the famous piece Vocalise op. 34 n°14 by Sergei Rachmaninov.
The variations were written by the students Gabriele Carta, Nadir Doghmane, Fabio Carta, Federico Donaera, Luisa Mulas, Stefano Melis, Paola Ruggiu, Dario Sanna, Marco Lizzeri, Cristian Ferlito, Luigi Frassetto, Michele Cocco and by the teachers Paolo Pessina and Fabio Conocchiella .
The program will be performed by the Canepa Contemporary Music Ensemble, made up of Luigi Pinna (flute and piccolo), Fabio Delogu (oboe), Elena Ibba and Luisa Mulas (clarinets), Cristiana Nuvoli (bass clarinet), Diego Aresu and Lisa Mangini (trumpets), Mattia Ximenes (horn), Andrea Cubeddu (trombone), Roberta Serra (soprano), Irene Carbone, Laura Carta and Silvia Cossu (percussion), Francesco Miscera (piano), Samuele Cossu (violin), Enrica Marini ( viola), Marta Piras and Flavia Ruiu (cello). The Ensemble will be directed by the teacher Andrea Ivaldi, who together with the teacher Anna Revel will play the theme of Vocalise a quattro mani in the concert version by Anderson&Roe.
