The Sassari Brigade served as Honor Guard at the Quirinale Palace for the first time in its 111-year history. Today, the 151st "Sassari" Infantry Regiment performed service at the Quirinale Palace on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Italian Republic Day.
The soldiers provided Honor Guard service by flying the Regiment's War Flag, recently awarded the Army's Silver Medal of Valor for operations in Lebanon between August 2024 and February 2025.
The Sassari Brigade also participated in the military parade, held along the Imperial Forums in Rome, leading its marching band that performed the anthem “Dimonios”.
The Regiment plays an active role in the Safe Streets initiative in the capital, which involves patrolling and guarding the city's key sensitive points.
