After years of neglect and abandonment, the park in Via Soro Pirino comes back to life in Sassari, returned to families, children and the city. Located in the upper part of the Monte Rosello district, one of the most popular in the capital, it has been the subject of a careful restyling by the municipal administration for a month.
Tree pruning, cleaning and recovery of green areas were the main interventions carried out by 15 workers, including municipal employees and external companies. The financial resources to carry out the works were found within the 300 thousand euros that the City Council has recently allocated for pruning and the restoration of urban green areas.
"In recent months, as an Administration, we have been intervening in various parts of the city, especially in the Monte Rosello, Latte Dolce and Santa Maria di Pisa neighborhoods, the so-called popular neighborhoods, which on various problems still register unresolved suffering, which have been dragging on for years - explains the councilor for the Environment Antonelllo Sassu - Some good results are however beginning to be seen, thanks to the great collaboration of the structure, of the workers but also to the spur of the neighborhood committees, with which a fruitful collaboration is being established. other things therefore remain to be done - concludes Sassu - but we are on the right track ".
