“Avoid these classrooms. The sun is shining and life is beautiful ”. The rite of hearings in the Sassari court today registered, among many dark moments, a glimmer of light. Judge Paolo Bulla created it by addressing two very young suspects for an attempted theft that took place inside a school in the Turrian capital. The couple had been surprised, a few weeks ago, by the state police and since then they have been in the Bancali prison.
After the direct call and a postponement, the boys found themselves in the courtroom, handcuffed and surrounded by the men of the penitentiary, a short distance from their families, in front of the magistrate, the prosecutor Antonio Piras and his defense lawyer Vittorio Campus. The last two have agreed on a plea agreement consisting of a sentence of two months and twenty days for one and four months for the other.
When the officers were about to take them away, the judge intervened calling them by name and inviting them to never end up in the courthouse again. "You are young - concluded Bulla - Good luck". The two, who appeared tried in the hearings, nodded, perhaps aware of the mistake made: “There was no arrogance. I think they understood - comments the Campus lawyer -. And I'm glad that all the generic extenuating circumstances have been recognized. The boys come from very difficult living conditions ”.
The release of young people should take place in the next few days. Who will certainly hope not to see the prison again.
