Sassari, summer of Carabinieri checks: more than 130 driving licenses seized, dozens arrested for drugs and 13 detained for domestic violence

A summer of checks, arrests and reports by the provincial command of the Carabinieri of Sassari .
The balance was illustrated this morning at the Sassari headquarters of the Arma, in via Rockfeller, by Colonel Massimiliano Prichiazzi, commander of the military in the province. An action carried out on a vast territory and with the help of the forces sent by the general command of the Arma to implement the already operational staff.
21,479 vehicles were checked, 32,462 people were identified, 110 young people were reported as drug users. Numerous checks were then carried out to discover cases of driving under the influence of psychophysical alteration, which led to the suspension of 135 licenses , the withdrawal of 148 registration documents and the subtraction of 2018 points. 88 people were arrested in flagrante delicto, 613 were reported at large for having committed various types of crime. Going into detail, 20 individuals were arrested for trafficking, dealing and production of narcotic substances , 190 “cannabis indica” plants were seized and destroyed, together with 1 kg of cocaine and 100 kg of marijuana .
The activities carried out for the “Red Code” led to the arrest of 13 people and the reporting of 113 others , considered responsible for mistreatment within the family and stalking.
The military were then very active in repressing the phenomenon of scams against the elderly , for which they reported 8 people at liberty. Finally, 4 people were arrested on charges of attempted murder and 3 for robbery.
"It was a demanding activity for the command - declares the colonel - which guaranteed the enjoyment of a serene summer for the tourists who crowded our coasts".
