Close on the hours of neighborhood businesses in the historic center of Sassari. Mayor Gian Vittorio Campus ordered it with an ordinance published this morning. A decision born from the protests and reports of the residents of Sassari Vecchia who complain, as stated in the device, "the presence of groups of people addicted to the consumption of alcoholic beverages in the streets and public squares during the night". And which, "with frequent illicit conduct perpetrated under the influence of alcohol, increases the risks for urban safety".

For these reasons, the mayor orders the closure, from 21.30 to 7 in the morning, of all the neighborhood businesses located in the area delimited by via Politeama, piazza Castello, via Brigata Sassari, corso Margherita Savoia, Porta Utzeri, Corso Vico , via Saffi, corso Trinità, piazza Mercato, viale Umberto.

A measure that, according to the ordinance, has "the objective of adopting a timetable that allows to safeguard the exercise of the business activity and to reconcile it with the right to protect the health, safety and peace of the residents ”.
