The Sassari State Police, following an investigation coordinated by the Sassari Public Prosecutor's Office, arrested a man resident in the Sassari hinterland.

According to what emerged from the investigations of the Flying Squad policemen, carried out through audio and video environmental interceptions in the house, for a long time the man subjected his disabled 11-year-old son to mistreatment.

He systematically beat him with slaps and belts, and also tortured him psychologically with insults, insults and death threats. The closest relatives knew and did nothing.

The arrested man was taken to prison, awaiting the validation hearing. The child, at the disposal of the Juvenile Court of Sassari, was placed in a specialized protected facility. The arrest took place in "deferred flagrance", an institution that came into force at the end of last year as part of the new protection procedures of the "Red Code".
